Measure the area you
are covering by length and width. Multiply length by width
to get your square footage. Divide by depth of mulch to get your cubic
yards needed. There is an average of 800lbs in a yard.
Example: Area to be
mulched: 25' (L) x 30' (W) by 6"deep.
25'(L) x 30'(W) x .5
(D) = 375 divided by 27 = 14 cubic yards needed.
Example: Area to be
mulched: 25' x 30' x 3"deep
25' (L) x 30' (W) x
.25 (D)= 187.5 divided by 27 = 7.0 yards
